The accounting profession today has a broader effect on all aspects of the nation's economy than before. Therefore, an accountant is expected to acquire adequate competence in the field and high commitment to his/her profession.
In accordance with the Minister of Education's Decree No. 179/U/2001, the title of Professional Accountant, which previously could only be awarded to particular state universities' Accounting graduates or those who had passed Accounting State Examination, can now be awarded by a Professional Accountant Program (PPAk). The title of Professional Accountant is a specific requirement to participate in the Public Accounting Certification Exam.
Our program invites you to explore the theories and accounting practices in Indonesia. With the combination of career lecturers and practitioners, the students of our program are expected to master the concepts, apply these concepts, and understand their application. Our graduates shall have the competence and commitment in doing accounting profession.
Lectures methods
- Theoretical, in form of assessments and the mastery of theories.
- Cases, i.e., problem solving related to concepts and theories.
- Practices, i.e. theory application within the accounting practices in Indonesia.
- Tasks Completion, such as writing papers, individual/group presentations, literature study, and case studies.
